Eurovision Representation

Traditionally, the winner of the Campioni category earns the opportunity to represent Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest. However, due to Olly’s decision to decline the offer, the second-place finisher, Lucio Corsi, was given the chance to represent Italy. Corsi’s song Volevo essere un duro earned him the honor, and he went on to achieve a respectable fifth-place finish at the Eurovision Song Contest held in Basel, Switzerland, in May 2025.

The 2025 edition of the Festival di Sanremo was a celebration of Italian music, talent, and culture. Under Carlo Conti’s leadership, the festival returned to its musical roots, providing a platform for both established and emerging artists to showcase their work. The diverse group of co-hosts added a dynamic element to each night, ensuring that the audience remained captivated throughout the event. With memorable performances and a successful representation at Eurovision, Sanremo 2025 reaffirmed its status as a cornerstone of Italy’s entertainment landscape.
